YOU REALLY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Mercy Medical Center Redding’s Hospice Program has a 30-year history of providing comprehensive care for patients and families facing terminal illness and loss. We value our volunteers who, at their own convenience, provide a variety of services including: Caregiver relief in the home, light housekeeping and practical support for patients and family members. Volunteers also provide emotional, spiritual, and bereavement support. A volunteer once said, “Hospice is an uplifting, gratifying growth experience; an opportunity to learn about life and living.”
All Hospice volunteers attend an initial six session training program, scheduled to begin October 1 and continue through November 5, 2008 on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Interested persons may contact Emily Sawyer, Mercy Hospice Supervisor, at (530) 245-4073, Supervisor Hospice Services by September 2, 2008 for more information and to schedule an interview.
