Our Meals on Wheels drivers make sure that each of the seniors whose lives they touch are better for it.
Meals on Wheels is much more than just a meal. It is a daily human contact on which seniors who are homebound and alone much of the time may rely. It is a sense of security knowing that someone will come, that someone cares.
A nutritious meal is served Monday through Friday to seniors aged 60 years of age or older who are homebound due to an illness or physical disability and have no one to prepare a meal for them.
The meals are approved by a registered dietician and meet 1/3 of the recommended daily dietary allowance. Customers receiving home delivered meals are asked to make a suggested contribution of $3.50 per meal. The actual cost per meal is more than $6.50. Qualified customers will not be denied meals based on ability to contribute.
