10/2/09	Mercy Successfully Completes Comprehensive Survey Mercy Medical Center Redding (MMCR) is pleased to have successfully completed an evaluation by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The survey took place during the week of Sept. 28, 2009, and included nine surveyors who reviewed MMCR’s compliance with all 23 conditions of participation in the federal program, which governs care of Medicare and Medicaid recipients. The surveyors indicated that they are recommending that Mercy will be found in compliance with all 23 conditions of participation.

9/10/09	Free Breast Cancer Screening Early detection is critical in treating breast cancer. The Mercy Regional Cancer Center will host a free breast cancer screening for qualifying women 40-years of age and older. The Breast Cancer Early Detection Program will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2009.
