Join Mercy Hospice as a Volunteer and Make a Difference in Someone’s Life
REDDING, Calif. - - Volunteers are needed to join Mercy Medical Center Redding’s Hospice Program that provides comprehensive care for patients and families facing terminal illness and loss. Volunteers are a valued part of the Hospice team, offering a variety of services including: caregiver relief in the home; practical assistance such as running errands and light housekeeping; emotional and spiritual support for patients and family members and much more. A six session training program is provided for all volunteers beginning March 19 through April 23. Training sessions will take place each Thursday morning from 8 a.m.to Noon at Mercy Medical Center Redding. A volunteer once said, “Hospice is an uplifting, gratifying growth experience; an opportunity to learn about life and living.”
