Mercy Medical Center Redding Grants $117,745 to Shasta County Agencies
Mercy Medical Center Redding presented more than $117,000 to eight community service organizations in Shasta County through its Community Grants Program. CareNet Pregnancy Center, Northern CA Center for Family, Life Light Pregnancy Help Center, Good News Rescue Mission, Shasta Community Health Center, Northern Valley Catholic Social Services, Mountain Valley’s Health Centers, and the Shasta Family YMCA received funds for projects designed to promote a healthier community.
The Community Grants Program is funded by contributions from Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) member hospitals. Through this program, Mercy Medical Center Redding is able to partner with other nonprofit organizations who are working to improve the health status and quality of life of the communities we serve and those whose efforts embody our core values of dignity, collaboration, justice, stewardship and excellence. Typically, grant awards range from $5,000 to $25,000 and are to be used to provide services to underserved populations such as the economically poor; women and children; mentally or physically disabled; or other disenfranchised populations.
