MarketFest is an annual summertime event held in downtown Redding featuring music, food, crafts and children's activities. MarketFest is acclaimed as the genesis for downtown Redding's revival.
The Mercy Healthy Pavilion is a booth sponsored by Mercy Medical Center to provide area nonprofit agencies a place to participate in Viva Downtown's annual outdoor MarketFest, located in Library Park.
The purpose of the Mercy Medical Center Pavilion is to connect nonprofit agencies with the community they serve in an atmosphere of family oriented entertainment. The Mercy Medical Center Pavilion offers area nonprofit agencies and organizations the only opportunity to promote their mission and educational objectives to the community via MarketFest. With this booth, a nonprofit agency can disseminate information, provide referrals, and increase awareness about the health benefit it provides to the community.
Mercy Medical Center provides the pavilion to help fulfill the mission and philosophy of Mercy Medical Center. Briefly, our mission is to identify and creatively respond to the health needs of the region we serve. Through the development and implementation of a strategic plan, we promote healthier communities and provide quality care to all. In carrying out our mission, Mercy Medical Center requires that its policies integrate and reflect the public interest in meeting its responsibility as a not-for-profit organization.
