All Intensive Care areas are staffed by nurses that are specially trained in the care of critically ill or injured patients. Regardless of the hour, our nurses will keep you and your loved ones informed of the patient's condition and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Shock-Trauma Intensive Care (STICU)
The STICU provides care to patients of all ages. It focuses on life threatening medical and trauma conditions.

Medical-Surgical Intensive Care (MSICU)
The MSICU provides care to adolescents and adults who have significant medical or surgical conditions.

ICU Staff Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are designed to ensure patients receive the rest necessary to optimize their healing process. Please limit visits to immediate family or significant others. Two people may visit at a time and visitors must be at least 16 years of age, unless approved by the Unit’s Team Leader. To allow for health care professionals to become acquainted with their patients during change of shift, we ask that you do not visit between 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Flowers
In order to provide an optimum healing environment, flowers and plants are not allowed in the Intensive Care Unit.

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
The IMCU provides care to adults who require a higher level of care than a regular medical/surgical patient team can provide and/or when telemetry monitoring is necessary. Visiting hours for the Intermediate Care Unit are the regular hospital visiting hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Flowers are allowed in the Intermediate Care Unit.
