Credentialing and Privileging
The medical staff organizations are independent at each facility with separate Medical Staff leadership, bylaws, rules & regulations, etc. For the purposes of credentialing and privileges, the Medical Staff Services Department at Mercy Medical Center Redding (MMCR) coordinates these activities for the North State Service Area which includes (MMCR), Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta (MMCMS), and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital (SECH).
Any practitioner who wishes to practice at these facilities must be credentialed and approved by the appropriate medical staff and governing board.
The Medical Staff Services also conducts credentialing for Licensed Independent Providers who practice within these facilities.
